Email Terry Smith

Since founding Strata Data with his wife and fellow Director Diana in 1977 as the sole Body Corporate Manager, Terry has expanded the business from its core specialty of Body Corporate Management to now also include Insurance, a Maintenance Division, Property Management and Consulting.  Terry is a founding member of the Strata Administrators Institute of SA (now known as Community Titles Institute of South Australia) and has been a Council Member continuously since 1984, as well as President on three separate occasions.

With his extensive knowledge of all body corporate legislation, Terry has co-authored and lectured for specific body corporate education within the industry.  He continues to provide expert advice to other agencies and the general public.   Terry is a Fellow of the CTI SA, a member of the Real Estate Institute of SA since 1987 and a founding member of the National Community Titles Institute and Strata Administrators Institute

Email Diana Smith

As joint founder of Strata Data in 1977, in the formative stages Di worked to ensure that the administrative support structure necessary to underpin the needs of Strata Data's client and service-oriented Body Corporate Management business were in place. Prior to Strata Data, Di ran her own successful word processing and secretarial service.

Di has worked in all secretarial and administrative areas at Strata Data including accounts, maintenance, insurance - renewals and claims, new business, client service and with husband and fellow director Terry, responding to after hours emergency calls for many years.   Di is a member of the Group Management Team and currently has client and insurance reporting functions as well as overall responsibility for office supplies and décor. Di's attention to detail is well recognised within the group.

Email Paul Smith

Paul joined the Strata Data Group in a full time capacity in 1988. Over that time he has worked in many roles in the organisation, including Body Corporate Management, and the Insurance, Accounts and Maintenance Divisions (both as a contractor for eighteen months and from this office for over twelve years).  Paul was appointed General Manager of the company in July 2003.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the Adelaide University.   He has been at the forefront of the body corporate industry for many years and has served actively on the State Board of the Community Titles Institute of South Australia (CTI SA).

Email Brett Earle

Brett is a qualified builder from England who has worked in the commercial construction industry in Europe, America and Australia.   He started at Strata Data in 2000 as a Body Corporate Manager and has risen through the management structure to his present position.

Brett joined Strata Data from a large South Australian development company and has a broad understanding of all facets of the construction industry.  Brett is also a key Board Member of the Community Titles Institute of South Australia (CTI SA) and has recently finished work to produce the State Constitution for our industry and is currently working on a TAFE training package and a Media Division at a State level.   Brett holds a City & Guilds Master Carpenter (UK) and an Advanced Diploma in Business Management Adelaide TAFE he is also in the final year of Bachelor of Business (Commercial Law) at the University of South Australia

Email Jeff Nixon

Jeff joined the Strata Data Group in 1995. Prior to that Jeff worked in a number of areas that have given him valuable understanding and experience in residential sales and marketing, retail property development, project coordination and architectural drafting at a senior level.

Jeff's qualifications include a Certificate in Real Estate Sales, Sales Rep Certificate of Registration, Practicing Certificate and a Builders Draughtsman's Diploma.  He is a Member of the National Community Titles Institute.   Jeff is Manager of the Body Corporate responsible for overseeing our team of Body Corporate Managers.

Email Janice Skewes

Prior to joining Strata Data in November 2000, Janice gained valuable experience as a Property Manager and a Body Corporate Manager in Cairns for more than twelve years.

Janice is a Member of the Community Titles Institute of SA and a committee member for the Institute.  Janice has recently completed a Certificate 4 in Training and Assesment. She is also a Member of Toastmasters, with a Competent Toastmasters Certificate. Janice has undertaken a TAFE Course in Business Management.

Email Lyn Kitchener

Lyn joined Strata Data in 1999, as Manager of the Insurance Division. Previously, Lyn worked in the insurance industry for more than thirty years.  For fifteen of those years she worked in London with various Lloyds' Brokers, dealing with general insurance, including with Minet & Company for eleven years. Lyn emigrated to Australia in 1990 and was employed by CHUU until 1999, working in liaison with their State Manager in all aspects of Strata Title insurance. Lyn is a recognised expert in this field.

Lyn holds a Diploma in General Insurance Code of Practice and also has attained Tier 1 compliance under the Financial Services Review Act.

Email Liz Mansell

Liz spent fifteen years with Allianz Insurance, gaining a broad knowledge of insurance claim procedures.  With more than seventeen years experience within the insurance industry, and for the past eight years solely in claims management, Liz brought extensive experience to her position, when she joined the Strata Data Group in 2004.

Liz has attained Tier 2 compliance under the Financial Services Review Act and is an Affiliate of the Insurance Institute of Australia.

Email Paul Effingham

Paul joined Strata Data in 2000 to manage the extensive Maintenance Division, including a staff of fourteen trades people (currently carpenters, plumbers, painters as well as general trades people).  Paul also manages the external contractors, undertakes building inspections and assists engineers in their reporting process.

Prior to working for Strata Data, Paul worked in the commercial building industry, including six years with Kennetts as a site supervisor.  Paul has supervised a number of large projects including the Goodwood Community Centre, Calvary Hospital, Schools and other sites with building budgets up to 60 million dollars.  He has overseen large multi-stage projects and liaised with developers, builders, local councils and other stakeholders.

Paul holds a Building Licence, an Advanced Certificate in Building Technology, and is a qualified Carpenter and Joiner and Concreter.

Email Sharon Ellis

Sharon joined Strata Data in 2002 as the Financial and Management Accountant and is supported by several accounts staff. Sharon began working in South Australia in 1993 at the Australian Property Group as their Account/Finance Manager and after five years transferred to TRU Energy as a Senior Accountant.  She has a superior knowledge of many accountancy packages and has a solid understanding of the property sector in particular.

Sharon holds a Bachelor of Business (Accountancy), Graduate Diploma in Property and has completed the CPA program.

Email Emma Caporaletti

Emma joined the Strata Data Group as their Human Resources Coordinator in May 2007. Emma has a diverse HR background, having worked in both public and private organisations across a variety of industries. Emma’s experience includes working for defence contractor Raytheon Australia on the multi billion dollar Air Warfare Destroyer Program, as well as spending some time with the South Australian Department of Health.

Emma holds a Bachelor of Human Resource Management from the University of South Australia and is currently completing a Post-Graduate Diploma in Management which she will put towards her Masters in Management. Emma is also a member of the Australian Human Resources Institute (AHRI).
